Program of Study:
• Form, method of teaching, benefits and cautions of principal asanas (postures), pranayamas (breathing techniques) and kriyas (cleansing techniques)
• Learning to create various class-styles: beginner, intermediate, therapeutic and prenatal yoga: from the perspective of a class having a flowing sequence, a more dynamic feel or even a Restorative sequence, depending on your nature as a yoga teacher, and the students present in any given class.
• Teaching methodology, including modifications for age and common injuries/conditions, how to create a grounded and inspired space for teaching/learning, the use of voice, body language and creating boundaries for empath personality traits (as a teacher).
• Anatomy and the physical/mental benefits of yoga
• Subtle yogic anatomy and the Chakras
• Introduction to Ayurveda, nutrition, and the yogic diet
• Ashtanga philosophy (the eight-fold path)
• Study and discussion of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, aphorisms giving insight into profound yogic practices and contemplation, as well as their life-transforming benefits
• Teaching practicum and feedback from the trainers and your peers.

Are you looking to dive deeper into world of Yin Yoga?
This 40 hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training is great for both teachers and dedicated practitioners. Over the course of 2 weekends you will study:
– Philosophy and history of yin yoga (Paulie Zink, Paul Grilley, Sarah Powers and Bernie Clarke)
– Yin / Yang, Chinese Medicine & Ayurveda
– Anatomy
– Eastern and Western – musculo-skeletal, fascia, meridians / nadis, chakras,
– Mindfulness meditation and Yin Yoga
– Asanas – benefits, contraindications, modifications for anatomical variations, utilization of props, sequencing, therapeutic applications
– Pranayama
– Languaging – skillful verbal communication
– The teacher / student relationship
This course includes 34 contact hours over the course of 2 weekends with your teacher along with 6 hours of independent study.
